Refund policy

The whole policy fits in a sentence: your deposit is fully refundable any time before the cohort launches — email us, and it’s done. The rest of this page is the details, in plain language.

Effective July 16, 2026

1The founding deposit ($99)

The $99 founding-cohort deposit is fully refundable any time before the cohort launches. No deadline within that window, no forms, no fee, no questions asked.

To request a refund, email hello@whetstoneprep.com from the address you used at checkout (or tell us that address). We confirm by reply and issue the refund through Stripe to your original payment method. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

2What happens at launch

When the cohort launches, your deposit is credited in full toward the $449 founder price via a personal discount code we email you — so the amount due at launch is $350.

Nothing is ever charged automatically. At launch you make an explicit choice: use your credit toward the founder price, or take a full refund of the deposit instead. If you do nothing, nothing is charged.

3The cohort purchase (terms at launch)

These terms apply to the full cohort purchase once it exists, and will be shown again at that checkout:

  • Full refund within 14 days of purchase, or before you complete 50 scored questions — whichever comes first.
  • After that, refunds are pro-rated and handled case by case — email us and we’ll work it out.
  • No refunds after you have sat the exam.

4Questions

If anything here is unclear, email hello@whetstoneprep.com — a founder answers, typically within one business day. Reserving a seat happens on the founding cohort page.

Draft — pending legal review. We publish our policies ahead of formal legal review so you can read exactly what you’re agreeing to before you pay us. If that review changes anything material, we will update this page and note the change here.
