Active ABMS or osteopathic-equivalent board certification
Licensed and trained in Canada (ABMS requirement waived)

Certification pathway (CME or Fellowship)
CME pathway: 60 obesity CME credits
- 60 obesity CME credits earned after July 1, 2024
- At least 30 Group One credits (designated partners)
Fellowship pathway: OMFC-recognized obesity medicine fellowship (completed within 36 months)

At least 30 of your 60 credits must come from these ABOM-designated providers:
- 1.The Obesity Society / ObesityWeek
- 2.Obesity Medicine Association (OMA)
- 3.Harvard Blackburn Course in Obesity Medicine
- 4.Columbia / Weill Cornell Obesity Course
- 5.Pennington Bray Obesity Symposium
Group Two credits (accredited CME with “obesity” in the title) count only toward the remaining 30.
